History

Al Shareef Museum grew from a private collection built up over many years and opened to the public as one of the best-known private museums in Saudi Arabia. Its halls cover Arabian history and everyday life, with objects from homes, farms, markets and travel.

It is a good place to understand how people in the Hejaz and Taif lived before modern times — from coffee pots and jewellery to old cars and documents.
