The Hira Cultural District was developed in the early 2020s at the foot of Jabal al-Nour, the mountain of the Cave of Hira, to give visitors a place to learn about the site's meaning and to improve the area around the climb.
Its centrepiece is the Revelation Exhibition, which tells the story of the first revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Cave Hira, using galleries, models and immersive displays. The district also includes a Quran museum, gardens, shops and places to rest.
