Limestone islands off Krabi

Krabi, Thailand

Hong Islands

A group of limestone islands with a hidden lagoon, white beaches and snorkelling — a favourite day trip from Ao Nang.

Favourite places

  • Hong Lagoon

    Koh Hong

A hidden lagoon enclosed by tall cliffs, entered by boat or kayak through a narrow gap at high tide. Inside, the water is calm and green and the walls are hung with plants — this "room" gives the island its name.

  • Koh Hong Viewpoint

    Koh Hong

Steps up the island lead to a lookout over the bay and the other islands of the group. The climb is steep, so bring proper shoes and water.
