Culture

The islands are part of a national park: do not touch coral, feed fish or take anything from the reef. Phi Phi Don has a long-established Muslim fishing community — dress modestly in the village. Water and power are limited on the island, so use them carefully.

History

The Phi Phi islands belong to Krabi province and are part of the Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. Phi Phi Don has the village, hotels and viewpoints; uninhabited Phi Phi Leh has Maya Bay and lagoons.
